Contact form

The website offers a contact form to make it possible for you to get in touch by sending a message to Peercode.

When you use our contact form, we receive the following information about you:

• Your name;
• E-mail address;
• IP address.

For processing personal data related to the contact form and responding to such contact, Peercode relies primarily on Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, along with the associated legal grounds, to enable the intended use of the contact form.

Peercode’s website retains this data for the shortest time possible. The information is sent via email, at which point it becomes an email record. This email record is stored within a mailbox and is not routinely deleted. Upon request, we will delete this email record in accordance with Article 7(3) of the GDPR.

Newsletter, sending papers and other relevant information

Visitors can subscribe to the newsletter or request papers and other relevant information via the website. To do so, the visitor provides an email address. Based on this request, the requested information will be sent to the provided email address either automatically or manually.

When you subscribe to the newsletter, we process the following information about you:

• Email address;
• IP address.

The purpose of this processing is to meet the visitor’s request, namely to send information including newsletters, updates about Peercode’s services, and relevant papers. Peercode relies on Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and its associated legal grounds, which pertain to obtaining consent for the processing of personal data.

It is possible to withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the appropriate link in the email you received. By clicking this link, you will unsubscribe from newsletters and service-related information, in accordance with Article 7(3) of the GDPR.

Security, statistics and analysis

Peercode will track general visit data from its website. In this context, the IP address, your name and e-mail address, among others, may be recorded and used for statistics and analyses thereof, with the aim of improving the website experience and services. Peercode has taken appropriate security measures to manage this website, including anonymising data as much as possible.

Furthermore, Peercode has made arrangements with sub-processors and only cooperates with sub-processors if appropriate technical and organisational measures can be taken to adequately mitigate the risks to data subjects. We only give your personal data to other companies or institutions if this is necessary for our service or if we are required to do so by law (e.g. if the police require this in case of suspected crime). Per purposes, parties are involved in the processing if necessary.

A processor agreement is in place with Google for the functionality of Google reCAPTCHA. We use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent misuse of our contact form. To ensure the functionality of reCAPTCHA, the following data is shared. When using this website, you consent to this:

• All cookies placed by Google in the last six months; 
• the number of mouse clicks or screen touches; 
• the default language of your browser; 
• the plugins your browser contains; and 
• all temporary web application storage related to this website.

We use Piwik PRO to track statistics and create analysis based on them. The following information about you and your browser is processed:

• network location; 
• time of the visit to the website; 
• pages and/or screens (URLs) opened by you; 
• time spent on the page; 
• webpage of origin; 
•  device type, 
• device dimensions, web browser, and operating system (OS); 
• downloads;

• if a search function is used, the use of the search function.

A number of cookies are also set. The following cookies are set:

• _pk_ses.<appID>.<domainHash>
  This cookie is retained for 30 minutes, and the retention period is reset with each page load. The cookie is used to track an active session of a visitor.
• _pk_id.<appID>.<domainHash>
  This cookie is retained for 13 months, and the retention period is not extended upon a page visit. The cookie is used to recognise a visitor and store specific attributes, such as the visit date, the date of the last visit, and the number of visits.
• app_id
  This cookie is stored for 365 days and the retention period is reset with each page visit. The cookie is used to communicate a site or app ID between the Piwik Pro modules.
• ppms_privacy_<appID>
  This cookie is stored for 365 days and the retention period is reset with each page visit. The cookie is used to store your preferences.
• stg_traffic_source_priority
  This cookie is stored for 30 minutes and the retention period is reset with each page visit. The cookie tracks how the visitor reached the website.
• stg_last_interaction
  This cookie is stored for 365 days and the retention period is reset with each page visit. The cookie determines whether the visitor's session is still active or whether a new session should be started.
• stg_returning_visitor
  This cookie is stored for 365 days and the retention period is reset with each page visit. The cookie is used to determine whether the visitor is a returning visitor.

  This cookie is stored as long as the browser is open. The cookie records whether a trigger or tag applied during the session.

  This cookie is kept as long as the browser is open. The cookie stores the campaign that led the visitor to the website.
• stg_pk_campaign
  This cookie is kept as long as the browser is open. The cookie stores the campaign that led the visitor to the website.
• stg_externalReferrer
  This cookie is kept as long as the browser is open. The cookie stores the URL of the page the visitor came from.
• stg_optout
  This cookie is stored for 365 days and the retention period is reset with each page visit. The cookie determines whether the user has opted out.

Furthermore, it also uses local web storage within your browser:

• ppms_webstorage
  This storage is used as additional storage of the same information stored in cookies. Each item in this storage is subject to the same retention period as the corresponding cookie.
• ppms_data_store
  This storage is used to ensure that form data is not lost during processing. Once the data is correctly received by the server, the local backup is deleted. As a security measure, the form data is stored encrypted.

For the necessary processing operations, Peercode invokes Article 6(1)(a) and the related grounds of the AVG on obtaining consent for data processing. You can withdraw your consent to further processing by deleting your cookies in accordance with Article 7(3) of the AVG.

Rights of data subjects

You have the right to access your personal data (Article 15 of the AVG) and the right to request correction or deletion of your personal data (Articles 16 and 17 of the AVG). You can also exercise the right to restriction of processing and data portability (Article 18 and Article 20 of the AVG). In addition, you can object to the use of your data (Article 21 of the AVG) and the withdrawal of your consent is done in accordance with Article 7 of the AVG.
